With Spring break just around the corner I just can’t help and think about swimwear. I actually cringe at the thought of having to look for a new swimsuit. For one I’m looking a little pasty white these days and just the thought of having to get naked in front of a mirror makes me a little anxious. I really hate to hit the tanning salon after hearing of all the bad things it does to you and of course my mother telling me how it’s going to age me, uggg… what is a girl to do? I think I’ll try some self tanner just to get rid of some of that winter paleness.
So where do you start? First try and figure out what is the best look for your body type. With so many different types of bikinis, tankinis, monokinis, and full swimsuits makes my head spin. The new monokini is a hot hybrid swimsuit slash bikini. It gives you the illusion of a bikini because of the open back with a much more revealing front than a one piece swimsuit. There are so many different trends right now with swimwear that anything goes. It’s really all about what makes you feel more comfortable. For the ubber feminine look try a bikini top with ruffles which flatters figures with small busts, looks super cute. Going with the same trend in ruffles one piece suits also have that detail to flatter any body type. Another HOT look this season is one piece suits with plenty of cut outs that practically screams BIKINI! It seems more daring then the standard monokini because it seems more revealing. These one piece swimsuits usually look like a bikini attached with thin strips of fabric, very sexy! Pairs well with a knock out body & lot’s of confidence.
Don’t forget those cute cover ups to get you to and from your destination in style. My fellow fashionistas my recommendation is that there is no better time than the present to get your swimwear ready. You must look fabulous for the mandatory sun worshiping in San Diego beaches. Stay tuned to San Diego’s Bikini week that I hear is just around the corner, my sources say you won’t want to miss that!
