| Small town girl next door...yes she is! |
Experinces & Work |
This small town girl from Northern California met with me online for a 20 minute chat that turned into a 40 minute conversation about speedy drivers and unlocked doors.
Doesn't make sense? Don't worry never does in the begining. However take a minute to read into the life of this small town girl with a big city personality. Her fun spirit and talented party tricks may have you leaving your doors "unlocked".
Oh! By the way...no boys in this small town! LOL |

dysmd: Alrighty. How are you doing today?
tayachase: Good, tired from work, but good... and you?
dysmd: A bit exhausted from the weekend. When downtown to hang out with Dale(Go Bunny) and I tell you going to town with him is always hard. How was your weekend?
tayachase: Mine was okay... I just got back on Thursday from going up North to visit family so I relaxed for most of it... watched some movies and played some board games.
dysmd: Nice. Where is North?
tayachase: Humboldt County... WAY northern California... have you been there?
dysmd: Nah...but I heard some great things about the place...well more like "natural" things.
tayachase: Haha, yes, very natural up that way!
dysmd: Funny...let’s get started. So how long you been in San Diego and what are you doing down here?
tayachase: Well, I moved down here last August... to attend SDSU. I have not declared a major yet so I'm not quite sure what I would like to do.
dysmd: So it’s like your first year anniversary! Congrats! How do you like San Diego?
tayachase: I love San Diego.. at first I was a little home sick because I'm from a small town and wasn't used to city life... but now I've gotten used to it and I don't think I'll ever want to leave.
dysmd: Great, don't leave! I'm from a small town myself and when I go back to visit it’s too slow. Do you find any similarities from home and your new home in San Diego?
tayachase: Actually most things are quite different.. everything from the people to the environment. Before I came down here I had never even heard of a "Cold Stone"...
dysmd: Wow! I didn't think anything around San Diego was "cold". Especially the weather. You spend allot of time at the beach?
tayachase: Glad you mentioned the beach... It's my favorite place to be because up North it's too cold to even put a foot in. I love to lay out in the sun and boogie-board. I haven't learned to surf yet, but I would really like to.
dysmd: I bet its cold up there. So I was browsing through your MySpace page and I seen tons of photos. Some are classy and some are fun. Let’s talk about the fun photos. What are you doing at the beach?
tayachase: The fun photos, well... I'm a promo model for a company called "Liquor Girls". If I'm thinking of the right pictures you're talking about- that would be me shot-gunning a beer, playing clip cup (which I'm a pro at, by the way).. and just hanging out with friends.
dysmd: That sounds like fun! How often do you and the girls promote?
tayachase: It ranges, sometimes we throw parties every weekend on the beach and sometime less often... We're looking for people who are interested in us throwing a party for special events.
dysmd: That's great. I will be sure to include information about the Liquor Girls. So does this make modeling a career?
tayachase: For me modeling is just for fun.. it's here and there.. I don't necessarily focus all my time on Liquor Girl’s promotions or anything else.. it's whenever I have the time and whatever makes me happy.
dysmd: Happiness is the key. Quickly......two things that make you happy and why? Clock is ticking ....tick...tick....tick.
tayachase: Being around people who care about me.. family and friends.. and accomplishing goals, it always makes me feel good to do things on my own and for myself, instead of anyone else.
dysmd: Fill in this blank for me, Taya. If there is one thing I can change about my life it would be _____________? tick...tick...tick....
tayachase: self discipline.
tayachase: I'm still very young and being in school and work makes motivation hard.
dysmd: Last question..... If the universe was your microphone and everyone could here you now. What would you say?
tayachase: To everyone I would say that life is too short to live so simply... you should make every day the best you can, everyone goes through tough times in their life, but happiness is the most important thing.
dysmd: Very well put. I couldn't agree more. At the end of day one could only ask themselves if they lived the day to the fullest and was it their best. I really enjoyed this interview. I found it very unique and interesting. Is there any last notes that you would like to leave us with?
tayachase: Not really... but I do appreciate your interest in speaking with me. Thanks.
