For starters CIRCUS is another event from the creators of AaronChaney presents . For those who may not know about AaronChaney presents it is an event hosted by San Diego, Orange County and LA promoters in Down Town San Diego featured in venues such as The Bondi and Hard Rock Hotel's 207 Lounge. However, the masterminds behind this project are none other than night life veterans Aaron Chaney and PJ of Afterdarc. These names alone paint the picture for a vision of unique and yet fashionable events.

The circus came to the Gaslamp and the big tent landed over Voyeur with photographers and video on scene. As the street got crowded not one person could hold themselves from lifting thier breath in amazement from the stilt walkers trotting up and down Fifth Avenue. Standing 8 feet tall on their pegs brought back memories of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey on the faces of the guest and oncoming traffic. Only the imagination of a young child could perceive the atmosphere and excitement created in front of Voyeur for guest that did not attend. This is one of those events you just didn't want to miss. Why? Production!!

If stilt walkers on the street did not get your attention then read closely to where the real action took place. In front of the 15 foot high and 45 foot wide wall of individual light bulbs is an array of flashing designs, words, patterns and rhythm where the stage took place. To add to the ambiance of the center of the ring was none other than Jeremy Harris of "A Style Concierge" acting the role of the Circus Ringmaster. With a fashionably tall physique, matching ringmaster hat and coat Jeremy artistically mesmerized the crowd by chanting "Ladies and Gentlemen....welcome to the Circus!". Afterward the show began and held an allure of entertainment with a hoop charmer dancing to the swirls of a glow in the dark hula-hoop and her sexy cirque of snake dancers. Yes, I said Snake Dancers and not only was the snake alive and authentic it also added a touch of darkness to the Voyeur decor and artistry.

In VIP, on the second level, you can see a performance of the Hoop Charmer and Wing Dancers seductively positioned against the main wall dancing an algorithmic step with the intention to hypnotize the audience. Hypnotizing they accomplished as on lookers stared in amazement to the perfectly designed costumes of fluffy skirts, knee high socks and corset like tops that added a hint of mystery within the colors of red and black.

Performance after performance refreshed the stage the entire night as acro-balancing took place, dancers performed with cirque style wings which at times pressed upon the illusion of lifting themselves off the stage. Yet, the stage is not the only place the performances took place. Stilt walkers performed on the dance floor and marching into the crowd was an array of beautiful dancers with umbrella type props decorated with dangling ping pong balls lit with Christmas tree lights around the entire first floor. The audience got an up and close personal glance of the detailed outfits and elegantly bedazzled make up artistry adding a touch of "Aww".

Last but not least was the sexy clowns! These six foot tall gogo like dancers wearing puffy bright red clown wigs really brought the high energy and rhythm to Voyeur. After all what is a night club with out gogos? Painted faces, boots and black outfits demanded attention. The sexy clowns brought both fun and classy dance steps into the embedded boxes of the 15 foot high wall with the sounds of two of the industries hottest DJs, Fresh One(Sleeping Giant) and DJ Timbo.

Aaron Chaney and PJ my hats off to you and I give you both two "Thumbs Up!". This event definitely had a touch of a Tim Burton Movie (Nightmare before Christmas) and Moulin Rouge Show. The event was a success and San Diego's night life is re-born again. You are setting the precedence for new event themes with creative promoters and establishing yourselves with colorful entertainment. We look forward to more from CIRCUS and its counterparts.

Congratulations!
